A College Football Dynasty Game Created by Owen Degnan
About the Game
Gridiron Kingdom is a college football dynasty simulation game that puts you in control of a football program. Start your coaching career at a smaller school, recruit and develop players, manage your roster, compete for championships, and work your way toward the nation’s top coaching jobs. Every decision helps shape your coaching legacy.
Meet the Developer
My name is Owen Degnan, and I am the creator and developer of Gridiron Kingdom. I am a Computer Science student and collegiate Track and Field athlete at Saint Francis University.
I created Gridiron Kingdom because of my interest in college football, sports games, and software development. I wanted to build a mobile dynasty game that captures the excitement of developing a program, recruiting players, competing for championships, and building a lasting coaching legacy.
Developing this game has allowed me to strengthen my skills in programming, problem-solving, user-interface design, testing, and publishing an application on the Apple App Store.
I have always enjoyed sports games that allow players to build a team over multiple seasons. I wanted to create a faster and more accessible college football experience that could be played anywhere. Gridiron Kingdom combines strategy, progression, recruiting, and career decisions into one mobile game.
About Me
Outside of developing Gridiron Kingdom, I study Computer Science at Saint Francis University and compete as a Division I student-athlete in the hammer and weight throw. My experiences in athletics have taught me discipline, leadership, time management, and how to continue improving through challenges.
I am interested in software development, cybersecurity, and digital forensics. I am currently seeking internship opportunities where I can continue developing my technical skills and contribute to meaningful projects.
Through the development of Gridiron Kingdom, I gained hands-on experience with mobile application development, interface design, debugging, testing, and publishing an app on the Apple App Store. Building the game required me to turn an original idea into a complete product while continuously improving it through testing and user feedback.
I also balance software development with my responsibilities as a Computer Science student and collegiate Track and Field athlete. These experiences have strengthened my discipline, problem-solving, leadership, time management, and ability to work toward long-term goals.
